Hey mom,
Thanks for your email :) I enjoyed reading it.
The thing ive been especially impressed with this week is (again) is the reality of the unseen forces blessing our every day lives in the form of ministering angels. I've had several experiences this past week where Heavenly Father made it very clear that very distinct promptings i received were promptings of the spirit but even more importantly that i was prompted by people that knew me. Family. "Angles speak by the power of the Holy Ghost" I can bare solemn testimony to that. Yesterday we were in a situation that was not very good. At all. A dangerous situation spiritually and physically and i had a voice in my heart say RUN. RUN! So we did. We got the heck out of there. Like Joseph we fled the situation without hesitation, even dropping and leaving a book of mormon we had with us. When we were safe we gave thanks to Heavenly Father and while we did the panic and fear and testosterone ha melted away and we both felt warming peace unlike anything we'de felt before and that's when the impression came that it was someone i was "connected to" who is watchng out for me and protecting us. It was a very surreal experience.
Along with that, since the temple i've been thinking about our covenants as well and how i want my actions to be more based out of a respect for those covenants and a love of God. If nothing else, i don't want to disappoint these unseen forces who want nothing more than for me to succeed. They can't help us if we're not willing to act without hesitation. Lots of tender mercies just like you said :-)
We had another baptism. Hooray! It was really good. It was of a ten year old kid. I don't have pictures of it yet but i'll send one of last weeks.
Ha To answer the young men's question i don't keep track of how many people we teach or even of how many baptisms i've had. I have no clue. At the end of my mission though i'll get a list of everyone i was involved in teaching who got baptized.
I do keep track of those i personally baptize or confirm though.
Well, we're gonna go eat. (Fried chicken! :D :D :D) And then go to the GYM! :D :D :D Two things i haven't done in forever. I love you!
