Happy Fathers day Dad! :) It sounds like yall had a fun weekend. Oh man the pool sounds like its been a pain in the butt. I wish i was there to help too. That's awesome about all the excersize and plans yall have! That's great. I can't believe Evan is turning 4! Holy cow.. Where does the time go? I can't believe i've been out 8 months either. Time just goes entirely too fast. That made me smile really big about their "popcorn bowl" though. Does Christian tal
k?
As far as a package, anything would be great! I wouldn't mind moonpies and cheerwine though ^_^ Really any kind of food would be great. Food gets expensive :) Homeade cooies would be AMAZING! Or candy i can give to kids. Or just snacks in general. I would love some grits :)
Speaking of packages, i'm almost out of contacts.. How would i go about getting some more?
Also, dad you have a package coming for fathers day, i just have to wait till the 1st of the month to send it. But i am sending it.
So a quick funny story. Me and elder hultgren have been workin really really really really really hard this week. That's my desire is to work as hard as i can and its been great cause we've shown eachother ways we can work even harder. But We've seen alot of success and tender mercies. One of which; we have a married couple i think i may have mentioned. They are both kinda in bad health (in their 20's) but they are SO prepared for the gospel. It's humbling. They were really sick on friday when we taught them but they came anyways and we talked about the word of wisdom. They both smoke but that's about their only problem, because he doesnt drink anymore. As part of the lesson after we had committed them to live it we gave them blessings for their health as well a
s quitting these things. The husband was blessed specifically that he would have the means to quit and that if he was faithful the Lord would provide a sure way for him to quit. WELL, :) We got to church on sunday and they weren't there so we asked their fellowshippers and turns out he has pneumonia! Ha! ^_^ He can't smoke! I do feel bad that he has pneumonia, but i have no doubt he'll get better from that. But isn't that funny how the Lord works sometimes? He showed his faith and the Lord provided. Just not really in the way he thought i'm sure.
We also had two baptisms on saturday. Yaaayyyy baptisms. Attached are some pictures.
I love yall very much. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts. I have a book you should really read. It's called "the message" by Lance Richardson. I read it while i was sick and it changed my way of thinking about some things. It's written by a member of the church and not very long but seriously, look it up! It's really good.
Love you guys! Elder Spurlin
