Hey guys!Sorry i din't get to email yesterday, we couldn't cause of memorial day. I'm glad to hear everyone is havin such a good time at the beach though. That makes me very very happy. I don't have very long (as usual) cause we're goin down to St. George in a little bit for ZLC (zone leader council) And we gotta go get hair cuts before we leave. But I did get to travel some! I finally went down to moab. That was so fun! I drove moabs car down there and it was trippy driving in and recognizing stuff from when we went there. It was really cool. We had some time that evening too so we went to the little shop where i bought my camo knife (I could remember exactly where it was) to see if they had another one but they didn't sell them anymore. Just lots of little things like that made it a really fun trip. Ha funny story, the moab elders have TONS of peacocks outside their house and i caught one! baha So that was funny when i saw the picture of nikkis peacock. Them things are mean! That's so good to hear about yalls experiences ^_^My companion's name is Judd Hawks hepworth and he's from rexburg ID.Cool story real quick. Two tender mercies. We were out and about the other night trying to figure out where to go cause we had two appointments cancel on us and we had noooo idea where to go Ha We were gonna just start contacting people from the stake "part-member family" list (theres 311 families on there.) but we didn't really feel like that was right so we decided to go swing by a kid we're teaching. He's 12 and lives in a trailor park on the outside of town. We felt pretty good about that but when we got there he was sick and the mom was makin supper and things were crazy and she basicaly told us to go away ha so we figured wweeeeelllll ok, guess that wasn't right and headed back to the car. As me and elder hepworth were climbing into the car we saw an old lady carryin her trash up the hill towards the dumpster and we both stopped, looked at eachother and KNEW we were supposed to talk to this woman haha When the spirit tells you somethin like that you just do it so i ran up to her, stole her trash and elder hepwroth beat her with a good helping of the spirit. Jk. I did introduce myself and take her trash and elder hepworth talked to her further. Turns out she was gonna say somethin to us but couldn't get the courage up. She is recently divorced, her husband was a "member" (did practice) she's "catholic" but she basically believes everything we teach. She was almost baptized 25 years ago and she said, "I'm not sure if i'm quite conversion material but i would love it if you gentlemen would come over and teach me!" ......OK! Haha so we are going to happily oblige her request on thursday. It's just cool how the Lord always has something prepared for you when your plans fall through IF you're willing to look for them. But YOU gotta do YOUR part. I think that applies in life as well ya know? When do things ever go according to plan? I'm slowly learning though that as you prayerfully, with Heavely Fathers help, seek too find what it is he would rather bless you with than what you had in mind, there's always somethin there. He's a much more affective planner than we are Lol I testify of that, and so, so what if plans fall through. We should be greatful that Heavenly father is trying to help us. But all this hinges on us. It only really works if we did everything in our power to make sure our plans succeeded. But THEN if they don't, don't worry about it! Say a prayer and act on what the spirit whispers. I love this Gospel :) I love our loving Heavenly Father and i love hair cuts. I'm gonna go get one. I love you all! Have fun the rest of the week. Thank you for all of your prayersElder Spurlin
