Hey,
Thanks for all the updates :) This week was good. Elder Ireland is doin good. He cracks me up. He still doesn't really have any idea whats goin on most of the time, so he makes stuff up a lot and its so so funny, haha! He's gettin it though. Man conference was good :) I loved it. We got to watch all the sessions and what a blessing that was. We had a recent convert who just received the Priesthood at the Priesthood session, and afterwards his eyes were kinda wide, and when we got outside he said,"that was awesome! I just learned so much!" Haha. It was so fun to watch him. I think my favorite quote of the whole conference came from Kent F. Richards though when he said, " The atonement covers all the purposes of life." ....Wow. Ha That's huge. Our greatest purpose here on earth is to learn things, right? Anything that helps us grow and learn is covered under the Atonement. It makes total sense, but I never thought about it exactly like that before. It makes you think harder about what in our lives Heavenly Father has put there to help us learn, and about the extent of what the Savior felt. Then we were listening to a talk by Bruce R. McConkey (sp) where he talked about a scripture (I can't remember which one ) in which it states that it's by Him and through Him and of Him (Christ) that all of our Heavenly Father's creations become begotten sons and daughters. He goes on to expound on the word begotten and explains that it means to be "saved" or "exalted". So, Christ's atonement was sufficient for not just our world, but ALL The worlds our Father has created. Kinda puts that one act into perspective, huh? And how key it was that he was the literal son of God ( born to a virgin Mary ) so he could endure that.
