This week was good. We were able to reach all the goals we wanted, so it was very good. Me and elder Prater both found ourselves last week going into things with exactly the wrong attitude. We both had the attitude, " We HAVE to hit the standard of excellence this week because I HATE not reaching goals and not being the best," when really we should have had the attitude of humbly wanting to share this gift with our brothers and sisters because we love them. So after much soul searching and fervent prayer/fasting we were able to correct that and what do you know, the lessons came. Lesson learned. Hopefully I won't have to learn that one again.
As far as building the the teaching pool back up, we've tried everything, haha! We even went to a wrestling tournament at the high school on saturday to find referrals. We do stuff like that all the time. Luckily the wrestling tournament worked out and we had several people give us referrals as we talked to EVERYONE, but sometimes things like that don't work. But in Utah, at least, your best chance for success is getting your face in front of the community so they can see who you are and have an opportunity to talk to you. 'Cause rarely ever will they seek you out if it takes more than a minimal effort. But sometimes they do :-) But as we've done stuff like that and let people get to know us we've been blessed to be referred to those the Lord would have us teach. As far as rejection goes, there's not a whole lot you can do about it, ha. Just use it to see what you can do better. It should probly bother me alot more than it does, but it really doesn't that bad to be honest. The only part of it that bothers me is thinkin about what they just denied themselves.
