Feb 20, 2012

Hey mamma! And dad too,
It sounds like you're doin good. Yeah elder richardson is great :) We'll get along great. I'm glad you got the package :) I thought you'd like it. I did not skin the snake, i just did the pheasant. I wish i did the snake but someone gave it to me. We were talking about taxidermy and he let me have it. It's pretty neat huh? It's got borax on it (salt looking stuff) so it's basicaly tanned. It'll never go bad. Thanks for putting the pheasant in the fridge. The picture is for you mom. Happy early birthday/mothers day! ^_^

This past week was really good. Bishop Hink is very nice ha i don't know if our talks were worthy of that praise. He's a great bishop. his ward is great also. We're tryin to get ready for our 5 baptisms this week. Lots to do! Our teaching pool is gonna becut in half this weekend but Heavenly Father has been providing. We've already found 4 new people who want to be baptized. Crazy huh? I stand amazed every day at his mercy and love for his children. He has alot of them in richfield that need the gospel and he takes care of preparing a way for us to teach them. It's awesome. We got to speak two more times yesterday. It went good. I talked about the scriptures again in both wards. I like talking about them alot. Comparing theto lehi's vision and the groups of people he saw. Of the last two groups, both of them reached the tree but one group fell away. What's the difference between the two? If you read the verses, one group "clung" to the rod while the other who "held fast" to the rod. What's the difference. Elder bednar suggests that, "Clinging to the rod of iron suggests to the mind an occasional, inconsistent dipping into the word of God whereas holding fast suggests a daily immersion into wor of God." And that's what i focused on, the strength and power that comes from daily study. If satan can get you to just be inconsistent in your "feasting upon the words of Christ" then he's winning. Those sporadic times are times when we let him caress and bind us with those flaxen chords. We cannot get where we want to go with who we want to be there with without that daily immersion and the protection it affords. I know that. Anyways, all is well in zion :) We're gonna go eat. I love you all!
