January 16, 2012

Hi mom/everyone! :)
It sounds like everything is goin really well. I'm not gonna try to respond to everything you sent but i'm excited Glenn is applying to schools out here. Maybe half the family will make it out here. It would make it easier to visit my mission. Heaven knows i'm not gonna move here to raise my family though.  Tell Jenn I’m praying for her.  A few things,
ZLC was fantastic this past week. It was kinda a coincidence but President trained us for about an hour on the gathering of israel. It was so neat. He started from the beginning with the abrahamic covenant and walked through it to the present day. Awesome stuff.
One of our investigators fathers died last week and she had the funaeral on wednesday and asked me to dedicate the grave. Sssooo i got to dedicate a grave.. Ha It was such a neat experience. I've never done that obviously and i didn't remember hearing one before but luckily the white handbook gives you a gyst of how to do it and most of it is common sense so it turned out pretty well. The priesthood is such a great blessing.
We had a baptism! Yaaayyyy. We baptized a girl, ashley kaye in the navaho dorm branch. She's so awesome. She's got one of the strongest testimonies i've seen in a convert. I got to onfirm her in sacrament meeting at the branch yesterday.
My testimony has been really strengthened this week of the tender mercies of the Lord and how people are prepared. We also recieved a slap in the face in the form of the following:
We were out of our area aLOT this week. Almost two full days for zlc, the we had to go to bever and friday (1 1/2 hours away) for a district training meeting and to delta ( 1 1/2) for another one on saturday, plus monday until 6pm was our p-day. So not much time at all. But verywhere we went the Lord placed people in our paths.
We went to a supper the other night and they had a non-member at their house. It was our dinner's, daughter's, boyfriend. We see him all the time at mcDonalds and have always assumed he was a member because of the way he acts and things he's said but he isn't and at supper we asked him if he had ever met with missonaries before and he said, (here comes the slap) "No, no one has ever asked before." .... He's now on date for baptism.  When you think you're doing enough to find people, think again. They're everywhere and are only waiting for an invitation.
Last night we were going to see a lady at some apartments and another woman stopped us and informs us that she's not a member but had taken the lessons before but had to stop for medical reasons and wants to become a member and yada yada. It's incredible! People are literaly finding us, looking for the blessings of the gospel and i KNOW it's  because Heavenly Father is placing them in our path. We just do our part and open our mouths and there they are. It's nuts. Even though we were out of our area so much we were able to crush our goals.
Anyways we're gonna go eat. Bro. Poulson is getting us chicken :) :) Everything you're sending sounds great mom. I love thos chewable air-borns. It's supposed to snow all week so wish me luck! Love ya!
