January 13, 2011

Jeremy read our emails this week & as he started to answer back, they got a call from Pres. Leonard telling them that Elder Bieberle’s Visa came in and they had to leave right then to pack him & get him on his way to Brazil.  Jeremy & Elder Harlan were able to go back to the library that evening to finish emailing. Here's some of what he had to say:

Well, elder bieberle is gone. I'm pretty bummed, but it's all good. I'm way way happy for him. I don't really have ALL that much time so i'm not gonna reply to everything, but i read it! Thanks for sharing so much about the spiritual things y'all have been experiencing and about your studies and such. I love that. That's crazy about the snow too! It snowed all day here yesterday. Eh.

Well life has been pretty interesting lately. I've decided that the things i love most about a mission so far is the knowledge. Just everything. From scripture and doctrinal knowledge to the life aspect of it to the spiritual side. Just Everything. You learn SO MUCH. I love it.  I'm havin a blast.

Mom,I love that you've been studyin the Armor of God lately. You're gonna be an expert on it ha! It's on my list of things to spend a week studying on soon. I read it not too long ago durin my New Testament study and instantly thought about Dad. I love the way he teaches it. I'm finally almost done with the New Testament! I'm excited to be able to devote more time to the Book of Mormon again though. I've missed readin it.

*Jeremy shared a personal experience about an investigator. He asked us not to put the personal information on the blog, but he had the opportunity to teach someone about the principle that those who aren't able to hear the Gospel on this earth WILL get the chance to be taught in the next life. It was a cool experience! If you'd like the details, just ask!*

ANYWAYS,that's just one of the way cool experiences that has happened lately. Another real quick is whith a girl we've been teaching. She's 19, divorced and has a little baby girl. She's awesome. She's the first one i've got to baptize AND confirm and it was the coolest most spiritual thing i've ever done. ( i know i say that about everything, but they keep gettin better ha ) The baptism was very humbling and the confirmation the next day in sacrament meeting was even better. I was prompted by the spirit to promise her she would be married in the temple and have her baby sealed to her and such and it was just way cool. very very humbling. THEN, i got to help bless her baby :) The priesthood is real huh?

Anyways, sorry this is all just a big jumbled mess of thoughts haha But it's things like that i guess that have been life changing so far. I love love love it.
